I was intending to sign up for a one year Yoga membership as I have severe neck and shoulder pain due to my work. Therefore I had a so-call free 1 week trial class at True Yoga.

The very first day I went to True Yoga, I was pestered by the Sales Consultant to sign up for a 2 yr membership. What is that crap. Before I even had the trial, I am already push to sign up. So ridiculous right. I hate people to do hard selling.

They guy will then tell you they waived processing fee, joining fee, etc....and add in this $$ voucher that benefits...and only apply for today.....I don't believe in that crap. Coz this promotion is like valid everytime you go there to enquire about membership.

So I told the guy straight on the face. I won't make decision on the spot and no matter what you say, I will not give in. Furthermore, I haven't even been to the trial. How would I know if I like it. These people really care abt $$$$ only.....@#$%^&*()(*&^%$#$

Actually I heard a lot of bad comments about True Yoga. On their sales tatic, they always push people to sign up and their service-staff are not customer oriented. Class are pack to the fullest during peak hours. So full that one instrutor in a class of 70 students are not enough. Especially for those beginner student, you wouldnt know if you be doing the postures right....

For me, I am lucky coz I wasn't a beginner and I am just interested in the Hot Yoga room that make you perspire more without much attention from the instructor.

Last night, I went to the Hot Yoga session. As the previous sales consultant that attended to me was not around, another XXXX guy attended to me. Guess what my class finish at 930pm. I was intending to reach home before 1030pm. After the class, the XXX guy bring me to the resting area....and keep pestering me to sign up the membership for almost 45mins and refuse to let me go. Worst of all, he didn't want to return me the 1 week trial class pass just because I didn't want to sign up on the spot.

I told him umpteen times that "is already very late and I am very tired. I do not wan to make any decisions at this point of time"...

I was having a sore throat then..so I really hate to keep repeating myself....

Finally....I couldn't take it anymore. I told him that in a very unhappy manner and of course my face don't seem to be happy. "I am the kind of person that if I do not want to buy means I wont buy. No amount of things you said can make me change my mind". I told him as well straight on the face I am "turn off" by the way he try to hard sell me and pestering me to sign up immediately on the spot.

Well...things start to get sour...and I can see his face and tone is changing...finally...after 45mins of pestering, he agree to let me go off...but not wanting to return me my trial class pass.....What is that crap.

I thought trial class is suppose to be 1 week free??? Why do you take it back just becuase I refuse to sign up immediately??

I seriously think that the management of True Yoga should disclipine their sales consultant well.

Sigh....however that's the only Yoga school that is conveniently located in Raffles...Guess I seriously do not have much of a choice.
