Finally back in SG after my 9 days honeymoon trip to Japan. It was a relaxing and enjoyable trip except for the occasional light rain and the nightly thunderous snore from *ahem* who else.....

Touch down in Kansai Airport on 10Nov at 8.55am in the morning.... took a 2 hrs train to Kyoto for check in at New Miyako Hotel .....
Hote location was great with just a 5mins walk to the train station. Hotel staff was pilot and room wasn't that small as compared to what I have thought....but the bed sucks...I could feel the bed spring when I slept...

After check in, we proceed to explore Kyoto on our own on 2 tourist spots....

2nd day of the trip. Took a train down to Nara. It was a wonderful place...nice scenery and deer park..with lots of deer running around freely.

3rd day, check out of hotel and took Shinkansen(bullet train) to Tokyo. Well the bullet train is really fast...but it doesn't comes cheap either..cost around sgd 200 for a one way trip...

Check in at Prince Shinagawa hotel...it was opposite Shinagawa hotel. With the lousy exchnage rate now, it cost around sgd300 per nite just to stay there...We book that hotel for 3 nights before checking out for a 2 days trip to Mt Fuji and a one night stay in Hakone....the local tour cost ard sgd 400 per pax....Woah..super expensive...considering the hotel and one lunch that was provided to us.

hmm...How I spend my days in Tokyo?

Went to the famous Meiji Shrine, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, Harajuku, Ginza and Tsuiji Fish Market.

Well, didn't buy much things...just some Japanese cosemtics, fake lashes, food gift, tibits and a nice sweater.....

Actually wanted to buy a pair of leather boots to the knee level but decide to give up as my luggage was filled up......

The most unlucky thing was that my camera failed on me when I was up at Mt Fuji...What else can be more unlucky than this......

Have to make do with my hp camera of 3.2 mega pixel...well thou is not that good and clear, at least better than noting.......

Mt Fuji was great, went up to the fifth station which is the highest point of mt fuji where the car can go up to...It was freezing cold at 10 degree celcius.....I guess I still prefer Tokyo temperature around 15-20 degrees.....

Stayed over at hakone...Hotel sucks and deserted.... but I like the Onsen(hot spring)..the only thing is everyone is naked...gosh....

After 2 days of Mt Fuji, Hakone, we came back to Tokyo and check in at Grand Prince Shinagawa.....Tumbs up for the hotel...thou it was a casual stoll of 10-15mins from train station, the hote was grand and bedroom was great...Just that the bathroom seems old and down...need some simple renov....

Last 2nd day of Tokyo, went to Disneyland....it was amazing that the queues are already forming so long at ard 830am....every ride takes about 1hr-2hr just for that few mins of ride.....You be amazed by the number of people in Disneyland. It was extremely crowded..even thou is a Monday.

Finally back to SG on 18Nov....I had a wonderful time with KT :)

Today is the last day of October....another 1 more week..and I be flying off....Yippe......

It's been a year since I went for any holiday.....

Actually I have booked a package tour to Hokaiddo....too bad it didn't come true.....It was cancel as there wasn't enough people...It was supposed to be my honeymoon....As I didn't want to delay my honeymoon any further, We decided to go ahead for a F&E 10 days trip to Kyoto and Tokyo.
I be flying out form 10-18Nov...hehe..which means in 10 days time....

I am really looking forward to this trip...hasn't had much lovey dovey time with KT...He is always so busy with work..almost everday he has been working till 2-3am at night...poor KT. I wonder how will I be able to take it...if is me......i guess is time for KT to take a break from his work as well.....

I love to visit cold country..hehe...Japan is one of the country that I been wanting to go as well..Too bad....KT has been there countless time...and he doesn't really seems excited for this trip....KT is very well travelled..unlike me....just like a mountain turtle....

But before I go for my trip. I be celebrating my lovely niece 2 yr old birthday...Well, It's going to be a busy Sunday for me..as I need to prepare a few birthday dishes for a small family celebration....before I depart to airport at 11pm to catch my 1am flight to Osaka...

It was a sunny morning and definitely an unforgettable day....I was supposed to have my first tennis lesson today from KT......I woke up very early..despite sleeping late last night at 1am...Despite being tired, I still pull myself out of the bed at 8am......Fill with enthusiasm, I start to prepare myself for the 9am tennis lesson.....I was expecting a fun filled day..since is my first lesson..who knows....when I was trying to pick up the ball that I had drop, KT tennis racket came swinging towards the ball....

I think you could have guess what happened next. Yes...His racket came directly on my forehand....and my fingers.....Immediately...tears rolled out of my eyes..I took a 15mins break as my hand is too painful....

My hands swell immediately....4 of my fingers were bruised and swelling....I can hardly bend my fingers...nor clench my fist due to the swell...You got to believe how painful it was....

But I am not giving up..despite this swelling hand..lucky it is on my left hand...I can still use my right hand on the racket...thou it may cause some inconvenience...I am all gear up for my next tennis session on this coming saturday.....I hope I can pick up the skills real soon.....

Got a call from the tour agency that my 9 days Hokkaido trip in November is been cancel as there not enough people for departure…..

Is a sad news….as I been looking forward to this trip. Haven’t gone for holiday almost a year and I haven’t go for my honeymoon yet since my wedding in February…..

Thought Hokkaido will be a nice and romantic place for our honeymoon…Immediately, I went to check for airfare to Tokyo and Osaka hoping it is not too late as air tickets tend to get more expensive closer to departure date.

Lucky me…I managed to book promotion airfare from SQ for SIN-OSAKA-TOKYO-SIN…I guess tickets are still available for the period before school holiday….

We had initially planned to go Hokkaido before school holiday as well, so that when we visit Japan, there won’t be too many tourists and would not be too crowded.

I will be flying off to Osaka on 10Nov and flying back from Tokyo on 18 Nov. Total of 9 days……heee…I am really looking forward to it …..It’s been a really tiring few months for me at work…Stress + long working hours is taking a toll on my body….

Finally I will be rolling out of this project on Friday…Looking forward to it…hehe….finally can rest….and take some time to do some research on my Japan trip.

This booking of the F&E trip is such a last min thing that I have not had time to do any research on where to visit yet.

Good that I will have some time next week to do some research and plan out the itinary and budget….

Plus I need to exercise to burn out all that fats….I put on a whopping 2kg during the term of this project as I have been working mostly at lunch time….eating take away food..and working at the same time while having lunch…U tell me ..how can I not put on weight? Next 2 weeks I will be pumping out hard at the gym..:) before I indulge in the sinful food during my holiday trip.

It's a weekend again. Time really flies ...especially the Wednesday this week is a public holiday. Therefore this is a short week with only 4 working days....Yippe....2 more weeks before my project end....

It's a Saturday and as usual, is a house work day for me...Ever since I got married, I have pratically become a part time maid becoz every Sat and Sun I be spending the whole morning doing hsework...

Actually I was toying with the idea of having part time maid every alternate week. But KT wasn't too comfortable with that....of coz he will have all the reasons to justify his action. Therefore, I couldn't be bothered to start another debate with him knowing very well the outcome...

Want to know how is my life after marriage? Weekday...work and work(long hrs)...after work, reach home, dinner, watch 1 hr tv and slp......

My schedule is pratically the same from Mon-Thu with the exception on Friday. KT and I will go out to have a meal outside and Jalan...before going home... Sounds Boring?...=P...

So you sure you want to get married? That is provided you are willing to sacrifice your freedom as single life? Prepared to have kids to brighten up the couple's life and marriage?

Saturday morning from 9am....Machine Wash and hand wash some clothes. Vaccum floor, Mop Floor, Wash toilets and basins, sometimes if time permits, I will try to clean the glass table, mirror and windows....well that will take me half a day to do it....There goes my morning....

Sunday morning from 830am...Go to wet market to buy some fresh fish, vege and food for the week dinner...

I will try to cook 2-3 times a week as I prefer home-cooked food....Frankly, I am quite sick of eating outside food....every lunch time I eat out....4 days a nite on weekday I will eat out....So usually I will cook dinner 2-3 times a week....

After marketing, I will need to slice, wash the fish and some other meat at home to be kept for the week and prepare for lunch....Usually Sunday lunch will be simple food such as Fish ball mee hoon. KT prefer someting soupy which is better for his diet as it is not so fattening...After this, usually I spend around 1 hr ironing.....Well there goes another half a morning.....My fingers skin are all peeling off....:(

As I am a exercise freak, I will try to swim either on Sat or Sun.....and visit gym at least once or twice a week....That is already a far cry during my single days as I will visit gym almost everday back then....


Guess what? Today me and KT finally bought a new vacuum cleaner wich we have been wanting to buy sicne 3-4 mths ago. The current one was brought over from KT's prev hse..Someting which he has bought hastily and therefore was quite lousy as it is damaging my parquet flooring and causing scratches on the marble floor...=<.. Well, thou is a bit too late as the floor are already covered with scratches...., I hope it will not cause further damage.....

KT is in a mood to spend $$ today....after we lost tonnes of $$ in the stock market....what is a few hundred bucks.....He decided to buy a coffee bean grinder to pamper himself....

Time flies every week.

It's been about a month since I am on this project.

Cross finger..I am still surviving and no relapses thou I have occasional headache.....

At this moment, I did not have blurring vision or numbness on my limbs.....

Went for my normal check-up and the doctor suggest I go for a mri scan again to play safe...
That is schedule for mid Oct. As of now, I have to increase my wafarin intake as the current
wafarin dosage is not thinning my blood.

This is a tough project as well....a lot of things to complete in a day and the schedule is quite strict.
Uncompleted work will only add on to the things you will need to complete the next day. Therefore I will be
loading myself more work the next day if not compelete within the scheduled day.

Working hrs are quite long as well...start from 9am to 8pm and almost everday I work throughout lunch
by eating my own home-make sandwich...or take away...eat and work at the same time during lunch...

Well, you can guess how strained my neck and shoulder is. I can hardly move my neck....
Thank God I have the determination to go for a 1hr yoga and 1hr of Body Combat class on Saturday that
helps to loosen a bit the strain on my neck.

These 2 days, I managed to finish my task faster, therefore I was able to go for a short shopping during lunch time...

Guess wat....spend $$ again....bought myself 2 working blouse.....Guess is to reward myself for the hard work.....

Haven't had a chance to take photo of my purchase yet...so stay tuned....and wish me gd luck to finish the
project without falling sick....

It is one week into my project in Tanjong Pagar and I am already getting all the neck and shoulder ache....Ouch...

I could feel the veins at my shoulder blade all tightening up....sometimes when I try to move my arms...I could feel cramps there...But gosh..I got no time to go for any massage.....

plus...I feel so tired mentally and physically just one week into my project...

Although currently I don't need to do long OT...putting aside I need to work for 3 saturday in Sep,
I could feel the strain on my body...

I slept from 11pm to 8am everyday since I am on this project....But, everyday, I wake up feeling very tired..

I wonder is it the weather(it has been raining the past few days and it is really cooling)..I feel extremely sleepy, tired and head is so heavy everyday..

Does it mean I am not suitable to work...haha....too bad I didn't marry a rich husband..else I can quit and shake leg at home now.....

Was in NUH for my usual follow up when my company RDM called me up for a project tomorrow....

Yup..you did not hear me wrongly..I am starting on another project tomorrow....in Tanjong Pagar area....


Lucky I am not seconded to some ulu ulu corner of SG...else I be too tired to travel to work...Actually travelling can be really tiring....

Whenever I travel to my HQ at Changi...It is really so tiring as the whole journey took me an hr. It is from west all the way to extreme east.....

I hope I am going to be alright in this new project and it is not going to be a long working hrs for me.

Went back to NUH for follow-up today. Was supposed to go bk my company HQ at Changi today after checkup.

Who knows doctor suggested me to have the 2nd "rituximab" infusion. He ask me to be admitted in hospital today for the infusion. The admission time is usually around 3pm. Gosh...that was rush....

By the time I finish seeing the doctor, it was already around 1030am. It takes one hour to travel to Changi and another hour to travel back home to pack my stuff for admission.....


When I reached home, started to pack up my stuff...and clean up the toilet which has about 100 dead black ants....Gonna clean up before I proceed to hospital...else KT so lazy..and so busy with work..Don't think he have the time to do it......Don't wana be discharged from hospital and come back to see a dirty house.....

I hope this 2nd infusion is going to kill off all the antibodies in me totally...sigh.....Now I have to wait for another 6 mths after infusion to reassess my condition to see if I can proceed to have a family......

Looking around for administrative job.....Do let me know if you come across any....

Today is the end of my 3 weeks mc. Felt that I have regained much energy and my vision has improved a lot.....I just hope that it won't come bk again....KT has has been ral sweet to me this period while I am on mc...I hope this is not tempoarary.

Has been dropping a lot of hair lately...especially when I comb my curls...I can see chunks of hair dropping...

I guess my swollen face and loss of hair is due to the side effect of medication. Finally decided to cut off of curls to reduce my loss of hair.....

Finally discharged frm hospital.......Have been resting at home and on hospital leave for one week.

Haven't been able to sleep well......Or I be waking up in the middle of the night.....I guess is due to the high dosage of steriods that are pump into my body......

Headache has gone away. I have regain the control of my left limbs....This is a sign of the good news as it shows the inflammation on the brain artery healing.....

However, I am still unable to see clearly...Many times I see flashes of light and blur vision....I hope time will heal everyting......hopefully the miracle expensive medicine Rituximab will have a effect on me......although 90% of the patients respond to the medicine, I hope I am not so unlucky to fall under that 10%........

Sometimes...is really kind of depressing when you thought your disease is under control...and suddenly it shoot right up to the head....

At times I lament, When will I be able to lead a normal life like all the other people...when will I be able to start my own family? When will GOD every be fair to me...and give me what I should be having?

Felt better today and decided to blog. Had mri scan and nerve test done for the pass few days. Scan result shows that the antibodies has switch from attacking my tummy to my brain. Now my artery in my right brain is inflammed.

That is why I have been having bad headache, bluring of vision and losing feeling on my left side of the body. Gosh..I cried non stop when I heard this news from my doctor.... Is such a scary thing. He says if I have come in later, my blood vessel would have burst and resulted in stroke. Lucky I discover it early......

I am frightened as well as in a loss...He mentioned that my flu viral infection might have trigger the antibodies activity as I did not rest well during the period to recover properly.

Had my $5000 rituximab infusion done yesterday. I guess Dr Koh feels is critical for me as it has start attacking my brain. I felt feverish throughout the infusion. Thou not as bad side effect as he has mention.

Rituximab has kill all my b-cells including all the antibodies. Which means I am very weak now and prone to infection as I do not have any antibodies to fight off germs....Hoever, the B-cells will regenerate slowly and it will then be time for my infusion....

I guess now is a time for me to make a choice to drop my current stressful job and find a normal no stress 9-6pm admin job.....so that I can live my life happily...

Hopefully my KT is supportive of this....as he was never supportive in the past.....

16 Jul 2008....

Unable to sleep since 4am in the morning.......haven been having severe headache...and felt nausea.....my whole left side of my arm and left cheek is numb....I couldnt feel anyting on them....nor can I control my limbs movement..... I was very scared....I am afraid I might have stroke or pararlysed at the moment.......


finally 7am...I couldnt take it anymore....ask KT to send me to A&E to seek treatment....doctor wanted to hospitalised me for further investigation...for symptons of mild stroke.....at this moment....I couldn't believe my ears..how could someone like me at this age, don't drink, don't smoke, sleep at 10pm everday and exercise regularly could have suffer stroke..besides, I do not have high blood pressure or high cholesterol.....

I was given 2 doses of painkiller before the pain subside....doctor still inisit to hospitalised me..as I got so much work to do, I decided to leave hosp at my own risk......took the day off to rest at home.....doctor gave me 6 days of mc

the next day 17th Jul 2008.....

went to work as usual as I was feeling better..suddenly my whole left arm was numb...no feeling for 20mins....I was dead worried and call up my NUH doctor...was ask to go down immediately....they wanted to admit me as they feel I have symptons of mild stroke...gosh....

this time I got no choice but to be admitted..I hope this is not going to affect my work performance......Praying hard...noting is going to happen to me......life has never been fair to me...so much things has happen to me....Is this karma?

It was a terrible day....was driving at clementi at around 8pm when I got into a car accident.

I was on the inner lane and going to do a right turn when a Rush on the outer left lane cut into my lane when turning....

stupid car(SGR349?M...I already braked and keep horning..don't know why the hell he never stop....and banged into my car....if he had stopped, the collision could have been avoided...stupid old man ..must be deaf....

Immedaitely he drove to the side of the rd...I didnt even had a chance to take the photo of the collision as evidence...

When we got down the car...I asked him why he cut into my lane without signal and nothing..obviously he didn't check the blind spot and didnt know my car was approaching....

well, he didnt denied the fact that he cut into my lane...but guess wat..

He turned around and push the blame to me....say "Y I NVR GIVE WAY TO HIM"

He must be crazy..he didn't signal nor anyting..just cut into mylane suddenly...and saying I should give way to him...he is so ridiculous...

Even said I speed to beat traffic light.....siao one..he is half car length before me..If I speed, that means he is speeding as well...
But obviously, I wasn't speeding coz there are so many cars on the road..how the hell can I speed....

Stupid old man..just to save his ass..he can give all kinds of ridculous excuses to protect himself...what is this world coming to..I hope this kind of people have karma man.....

He even said he dun wan to argue with me..wait for the insurance co to settle it....of coz he wont argue.....coz he is at fault how to argue...

Gosh..the problem is I got no photos as evidence..he can go home..cook up a story and anyhow say I bang into him lor...

Stupid old man..cannot drive..too old to be alert or deaf.....then dun drive..

Now i just hope the insurance company will inspect properly that the scratches is cause by his car gliding my car....

You know what? I have to pay a $500 just to report claim to insurance....what is this world coming to?

It's another 2 weeks to "Duan Wu Jie"...."Dumpling Festival" in English..

Have been wanting to wrap ba zhang on my own...since donkey years ago.....concidentally every yr during this period, I am always having holiday camp in hospital......

Luckily last yr, I managed to avoid repeating the history....

Therefore, I mangaged to learn how to wrap dumpling from a ex-colleague cum gd friend "Sook Quin"..She was also one of my jiemei in my wedding.

Actually sad to say I didn't have a lot of photos with Sook Quin. This is one of the lastest photo I took with her...Guess which is Sook Quin?

Actually I used to have a lot of close colleagues during my working period in a end-user enviroment. Think is my humorous and outgoing nature...plus frank and not hypocrite nature has allow me to make many good friends during my working days....sadly friendship distanced when people start switching jobs...or when they start their own family.... or found their partner. Well personally I dont like it this way as I feel my life is not just centered around my parnter.I need to have friends from outside world as well.

Some guys are even weirder....after getting married like very scared to keep in contact with me...Who says "Woman and Man cannot be just good friends with no feelings involved?

Hehe...

Well lucky I still got a few good guy buddies..You know who you are=P

Hmm....It's 3 months since my wedding......honestly I do miss the wedding prep especially the actual day itself...It's such a short memory...

The highlight of the day is "my 2nd attempt making ba Zhang". The shape of the dumpling is getting nicer.....But is really hard work preparing the ingredient...

I have to soak the rice and leave the night before....cutting, chopping and marinating of the ingredients..took me 2 hrs....

wrapping 30 ba zhang took me 2.5 hrs...

boiling ba zhang took me another 2.5 hrs...

total = 7hrs for making 30 ba zhang....

gosh..no wonder people prefer to buy rather than to make...coz is really time consuming, tiring and lots of effort...I almost couldn't stand straight when I finish....Plus...still half hour of cleaning and washing out...

Luckyily KT was there to help me with some chopping and cleaning....

Taking the opportunity of a long weekend, finally had my housewarming 3 weeks after shifting into Varsity Park.

There a total of around 40 guests....Guests started arriving at my house after 6pm.

I guess everyone is really hungry when they arrived at my house....Coz the speed of my BBQ food getting cookedcouldnt match up to the rate at which the people consume the food......haha....

But overall is still quite a nice housewarming as I have buffet catering as well....Usually there be leftover food from buffet catering....

Guess what....my buffet catering was all consumed....Totally nothing left...
I didn't ate much for the night also as I am busy the whole nite standing infront of the bbq pit .....trying to bbq all the food....asap to cater for the hungry tigers......

In fact..some late comers..actually didn't had enough food to eat....really paisei to those people who didn't had enough....

I didnt had the time to take any pictures at all...

Initially I was still contemplating to take lots of pictures to post up for my blog....
but I was too busy until I forgot everyting.....

What a pity......lucky cindy managed to take a pic for us =P...gam sia...

But still I must thanks all the guests for their gifts, ang bao and cash vouchers.

It's been such a long wait. Finally the rectification is going to be completed today.

I am ready to move in this Sunday 27th April.


Last night was shifting boxes of things...from my Jurong house to Clementi.
Gosh...shifted till 1+am then I sleep. By the time I reached home, I was already half dead...I dread the idea of having to wake up the next day at 7am..to move things again.

This time a helpful friend help me to ferry some bulky stuff with his van...Thank you dear friend.....thou u rejected my treat...next time ok?

This morning the curtain was done up..hmm...didn't really like the colour we chose for the living room..But no choice since we choose the wrong colour..Is really expensive..a few piece of cloth cost 1k to 2k....

There will be more cleaning up to do tonite after the developer handover the key back to us for rectification works compelete.

Furniture and electrical appliances will be coming in tomorrow...It's gg to be a long day ahead tomorrow to unpack all the stuff...to prepare for move in on Sunday....

Yipee..Finally...

Finally I gotton my new house key......It has been such a long long wait..

The house which is supposed to be completed last Sep was delayed to March this year....

A total of 6 months delay.... Well the house definitely look disappointing from the outside..

It's looks really half past six job like a worker dormitory.....so different from the sketched up model.

When I got the keys, I am so glad the landscaping and the interior of the house is well-done.

Thought is not perfect, but I am definitely satisfied.

The last 2 weeks have been a busy and hetic week for me......

Going around looking for furnitures, rectifying the faults for the developers to fix
and looking for renovators to give a good quote with good service.

It was extremely tiring for me...as been running around.....and not sleeping well..having night mare....due to some personal problem....

Gosh..I guess personal problems are a part and parcel of life......

Issit I am really too small heart or particular about things..
or issit really the problem of other people?...hmm....but based on majority feedback.....

It's not my problem le....so how to resolve?....sigh...


Well, back to my new home. Rectification of faults start this week. Hopefully I can start my renovation
next week and complete within 2 weeks time.

Then I be on schedule to move in end Apr......to concide with the good move-in date given
by feng shui master....

gosh...everyting is $$$$ now....salary no increase.......

but prices of everyting keep increasing.....

food/transport/petrol/rental....everyting....at least..I can't find anyting that hasn't increase except salary...

what is the world turning to.....

12th March 08

Today mark the last working day with my current company. Current XXX company has been very quiet lately. A lot of people left the company especially those from my team. Turnover rate has reached the peak for the past 2 months.

Well, kind of low morale since last Dec when half of my team members are gone.... Gone are those days of laughter. Nowadays, everyday in the office is just cold and quiet and the office seems a total stranger to me.

The worst thing is it has been raining for the past 3 weeks...which make the office even colder.....haha.....

Well, many people has been asking me how is marriage life...Bascially not much difference becuase me any hubby hasn't been staying together as our house is not ready yet.....But KT seems to be sweeter and nicer to me nowadays...which is a good thing as it makes me think of him and look forward to seeing him more....

I guess is a good thing....=D

Hopefully I can get the keys in 2 weeks time then I can settle my new house before I start on my new job. I am so looking forward to getting my house soon so that I can build my love nest together with KT.

It's the leap year. Me and Kah Tat went for candlelight dinner at Four Seasons "One-Ninety" restaurant for our candelight dinner for our one week wedding.....

Somehow I just love Four seasons for it's service, ambience and it's decoration and design.

It is simply marvellous....
